Spring and autumn bring mild

The best times to visit Jordan are spring, from March to May, and autumn, from September to November, when temperatures are mild and ideal for sightseeing at Petra and hiking in Wadi Rum. Summer can be very hot, especially in the desert and around the Dead Sea, though evenings cool down. Winter is cooler and can be rainy or even snowy in the highlands, but remains pleasant in the south. Spring also brings wildflowers to the hills.
